Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a famous Indian actress, best known for her role in the film Beta Saajan and Hum Hain Koun..! The actress began her career in the late 1980s, and rose to popularity with her role in the Tezaab film, in which she was a part of the cast alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapoor. She next appeared in the movie Dil where she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she began learning to dancing at a young age. She started acting when young and fought through a couple of years since most of her initial film projects were unsuccessful. She eventually found success and went on to become one of the top actors in the Indian film industry. After marriage, she experienced an absence from the industry before returning to the industry. She was recently one of the main characters in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit was nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these she's received 8. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Also, she is well recognized for her charity work.
